About Heathrow Express


Heathrow Express is a non-franchised, non-subsidised private rail company operating up to 150 train services daily between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport. Since its launch in 1998, the service has provided a fast, non-stop journey, taking just 15 minutes from London Paddington to Terminals 2 & 3, and an additional six minutes to Terminal 5.


Each day, Heathrow Express welcomes an average of 17,000 passengers on board, contributing to a total of over 100 million passengers who have traveled with the service since its inception. As an essential part of many travelers’ pre- and post-holiday journeys, it offers a convenient and efficient airport transfer solution.


A variety of ticket options are available, including singles, day returns, returns, and carnet tickets, with two seating classes—Standard and Business First Class. Ticket prices start from £10 for advance purchases made 45+ days in advance. Promo codes and Railcards are accepted to provide additional savings, and corporate rates are available for business partners.


Tickets can be purchased through multiple channels, including pay-as-you-go options, though the best prices are available when booking online in advance. Travelers are encouraged to secure their Heathrow Express tickets ahead of time for a seamless and worry-free airport transfer experience.

Despite strong demand for its services, Heathrow Express struggled to connect with new passenger segments beyond its traditional sales channels. The company lacked a distribution network capable of reaching a broader audience.
