BERLIN (06.03.2024)  - Distribusion Technologies, the global leader in ground transportation technology headquartered in Berlin, Germany is proud to announce its partnership with Lithuanian Railways (LTG Link), the national state-owned railway company of Lithuania.

Our integration with LTG Link is complete and the full inventory is now available via Distribusion's B2B API.

LTG Link, the passenger arm of LTG, is driven to create a new travel culture in Lithuania, by becoming the first choice for passengers, valued for its high level of service, operational efficiency and management. In December 2023, LTG Link launched their newest international route, Vilnius (including Airport connection to city centre), Lithuania to Riga, Latvia, complimenting their already existing cross border routes to Warsaw and Krakow, Poland. In 2023 LTG Link transported 5 million passengers and has a goal to push their ridership in 2028 to 8,2 million passengers.

Distribusion’s feature-rich API will power LTG Link’s connection to the global online travel market, allowing LTG Link to rapidly expand at scale. This scale provides travellers with brand new options to book LTG Link tickets through our network of more than 150 domestic and international online travel retailers.

LTG Link is already live on Google Maps and soon via Google Transit, thanks to Distribution's best-in-class GTFS feed. Distribusion also provides LTG Link with our online booking engine tied to our seamless ticketing links, transforming interested users to paying customers with one of the fastest search-to-book flows in the industry. Our booking engine provides LTG Link the opportunity for customers to book in 16 languages and more than 20 currencies, complementing LTG Link’s already existing online presence.

“This cooperation is of great value to us because we can offer travellers from all over the world the opportunity to buy train tickets instantly on convenient platforms when they are still planning their trips. This is also in line with our Group’s long-term strategic objective to focus even more on quality of services. Apps will be another attractive tool for our train passengers. We will also further encourage foreign visitors to choose a convenient and sustainable option to reach Lithuania and travel in our country”, says Egidijus Lazauskas, CEO of LTG Group.

“We are excited to partner with LTG Link and launch Lithuanian passenger rail to the world.” said Romain Ventanas, Head of Rail Partnerships at Distribusion Technologies. “LTG Link aims to create a new travel culture within Lithuania, and what better way to grow than to expand that mission to the international travel marketplace. Lithuania is also at the heart of the RailBaltica project, aiming to connect Baltics with Germany and simplify railway network interconnections.”
